The GETAGRIP Academy is where young athletes develop basketball skills, confidence, fitness and character in a positive, supportive environment. Through quality coaching, purposeful training and a strong team culture, we help players grow both on and off the court. Our goal isn't just to develop better basketball players — it's to develop confident young people who work hard, support others and believe in themselves.

We believe sport is one of the greatest tools for developing life skills that extend far beyond the court. WHAT WE OFFER.
BASKETBALL SKILLS.
Develop fundamental skills through fun, challenging training focused on shooting, ball handling, passing, defence, game awareness and basketball IQ.
STRENGTH & FITNESS.
Our age-appropriate fitness sessions improve movement, balance, strength, agility, coordination and injury prevention while helping athletes build healthy habits for life.
COMPETITION.
Players have opportunities to compete in:
• Basketball Hawke's Bay competitions
• Development tournaments
• GETAGRIP Invitational
• Additional tournaments throughout the year

Our Academy is built on encouragement, belonging, respect and supporting one another.

Our squads are intentionally kept small to ensure quality coaching, meaningful development and individual support. Places are limited.
